Toddy Pond Is a  nonprofit independent day school founded in 1979 and offers full-time, part-time and homeschooling options for boys and girls aged 4 to 14. Classes are small, multi-aged, and focus on individualized, experiential, multidisciplinary, hands-on learning. Classroom teachers work conscientiously to foster each child's needs, interests, creativity, abilities and level of responsibility. Week-long adventure trips, one each trimester, apply our learning themes through site-based experiences in the Maine wilderness. Our weekly Enrichment Day, with a strong arts focus, is popular among homeschooling families. A typical day involves math and language arts in the morning, followed by lunch, and then quiet reading science and history in the afternoon. The school day runs from 8:30 to 3:00. Admissions information is available by calling the school, and we offer up to $2000 of need-based financial aid to full-time students.
