Five Town Communities That Care
Rockport P.O. Box 1135 , 535 West Street , Rockport , Maine, 04856 Website: Our Website E-mail: info@fivetownctc.org Phone: (207) 236-9800 Hours: Office open weekdays 9-5 Five Town Communities That Care is a non-profit organization which promotes healthy youth development in the five towns of Appleton, Camden, Hope, Lincolnville, and Rockport, Maine. We seek to prevent adolescent problem behaviors such as substance abuse, suicide, violence, delinquency, school drop-out, and teen pregnancy in our community. We also seek to increase the number and quality of collaborations that promote healthy youth development locally. Five Town Communities That Care uses a data-driven approach in order to assess priorities and we focus on prevention, rather than intervention. We advocate for the use of tested and effective programs which match the prioritized risk and protective factors in our community. We believe that doing so will allow our community to make the most effective use of community resources and will give us the best chance at making a positive difference. Five Town Communities That Care provides direct-service programming locally (such as STAR, Math and Literacy Mentors, Guiding Good Choices), supports other organizations in their implementation of proven programs in the community (such as Life Skills Training and the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program), provides education and training, and provides local networking opportunities to increase collaboration.
