Bruce Gamage Jr., born and raised in Rockland, has been buying and selling quality antiques since 1970. He is married to Becky Gamage and they have 3 children and 9 grandchildren.
Since 1982, the office/gallery on 467 Main St., Rockland, has specialized in early American furniture, fine art, oriental rugs, country furniture and Antique canes (walking sticks). Bruce is also known for the sale of hand carved eagles by Maine carver Peter Q. Libbey, and now Bellamy style eagles by Peter's son William which are also on display in the gallery. For 28 years Bruce has been a licensed and bonded Auctioneer and Appraiser. The auction company reaches a world market setting several world record prices over the years. Wednesday is free appraisal day for items brought into the store. Because planning ahead is so essential to ones future, Bruce offers appraisals for both Insurance and Estate purposes. He also offers a soups to nuts auction service, from one item to broom cleaning a house. Since 1993, Bruce has been the auctioneer for Tradewinds Antiques and Auctions specializing in cane only auctions. Cane collectors from all over the world come to America twice a year to buy these antique canes. Bruce's community service has earned him the honor of being recognized as the Rockland-Thomason Chamber's person of the year in 1997. Some of the estates Bruce has represented include, Sen.
