River School is the Belfast Area's independent High School. We are teachers, students, parents, and supporters who believe our youth deserve an education that can open up new possibilities for them as they develop into individuals and plan their future. Education at the River School is threefold: traditional academics taught in a student-centered, self-paced, and experiential manner; community involvement through volunteering, employment, or apprenticeships; and a travel component of affordable and challenging travel.
