You can search the archives and retrieve stories without limit and from the entire data base. You receive home delivery of the affiliated weekly newspaper of your choice. If you wish to have the newspaper delivered to another party or to a health care facility you may elect to do so. As an iMember, you can be an active participant sharing your events and ideas. You have 24/7 access to post your own stories, comments on our professional journalist stories or stories or comments of other iMembers. You may create your own forum on any topic of interest, post photographs, post unlimited free classifieds as well as request to become a Soup Blogger. You will also receive invitations to occasional community forums in locations central to timely community topics. As a member you receive performance statistics for your ads and postings. These reports help you make smart decisions on the type of posts you should continue, change and discontinue. Why do I have to pay and become a member to post to the site? The Soup's experience and the experience of most others is that unattributed posting rapidly becomes uncivil and uninteresting. Requiring payments via credit cards significantly increases the credibility of registration information and postings. While it likely decreases the volume of postings short-term, we find that long term the volume reaches critical mass and is much more informative and entertaining to a larger readership. How will my Member Account information be used? We will use your member account information to promote or sell additional services directly to you. We will neither distribute nor make accessible your information to any third party who is not operating on our behalf. ^top Can I enter information myself? Upon becoming a member, we send you an e-mail that contains login information so you can begin enjoying member benefits. Upon entering your unique member account area, you select whether you wish daily headline and/or breaking news emails to you and you tell us where you wish your paper sent. Then, you can begin entering your content for posting. Can I change information myself? All your information is totally manageable by you using your login information 24/7 from anyplace you can access the Internet. When will my posts appear on the site? Upon payment of membership fee, you will receive via email your username and password. Upon logging into your member account and selecting a type of post you wish to make, it will typically appear online immediately and we will do our best to assure it appears within fifteen minutes of your submission. How can I retrieve a forgotten account password? Go to the Log In link on any page. Upon seeing the login box, enter your account username and click the "forgot your password" link. You will then receive an email containing the password to the email address associated with your member account. How do I cancel my member account? You may cancel your membership at anytime by logging into your account and clicking on "Account Management" then "Cancel Membership." You will no longer receive weekly delivery of the paper and you will no longer have access to the various posting areas and to archive searches for stories beyond the prior two weeks. If you do not cancel your member account during your term, thirty days prior to the end of your term, we will send an email asking if you wish to renew your membership. Your membership will automatically renew and your credit card charged for a renewal of the same term as previously elected if we do receive a reply from you indicating you wish not to renew. Upon receipt of notice that you do not wish to renew, we will cancel your membership upon the term expiration date. ^top How do I pay for my Membership and other services? You may use your Visa or MasterCard credit card or debit card. You may send a check or bring cash into the office nearest you. How and when will my credit card be charged?
