Tom Ventura has taught music in Waldo County for most of the last 15 years in the Belfast area. He has had positions as music teacher in two local school systems (interim at former SAD 34 in Belfast, and for several years at the Palermo Consolidated Elementary School on RT. 3 in Palermo). During this time he has also taught private lessons.

Tom is also an ordained minister and along with his wife and three kids, pastors a small non-denominational church in downtown Belfast. He and his wife lead the music at the church, and his daughter Sierra (17) plays keyboards and sings, and his son Zeke (11) plays the drums. The music at the church is very contemporary.

Mr. Ventura has had experience in his past as a rock and roll performer with various bands out west, as well as a solo (jazz) performer over the years. He is affluent in many styles of music from jazz to rock, classical to folk. Due perhaps to the success of the video game GUITAR HERO, Tom is now teaching many rock and heavy metal songs from that series.

He is accepting children age 8-18 on either guitar (electric and acoustic), as well as keyboard (piano or electric).
